Choose 3 animals, now write a story using those animals for your main characters. The important part is that the characters are physical or symbolically imbued with that animal that represents that character in some way.

Take the story from the what if statment from a few days ago and write a story on the opposite to that stories “what if statement”.
Examples:
What if reptiles were evolved from people?
What if oil was what filled the seas?
What if animals had super powers?
Jump to Conclusions
Write a story where people jump to conclusions and then get disappointed when they are not correct.

Create a story that is based on a what if statement.
For instance:
What if people were evolved from reptiles?
What if oil did not exist on earth?
What if people had super powers?
Mirror a Fairytale
Write a story that mirrors a fairytale, it can be turning Red Riding Hood into a gritty horror flick, it could be turning Snow White into a sci-fi fantasy, it could be taking Sleeping Beauty and swapping the characters about, but take some fairytale and put your own twist on it.
Once you are done:
How does your new fairy tail compared to the original?
What did you change in yours that worked in the old fairytale where it does not work so well in yours?
What can you learn from the fairytale?
Same Character New Story
Find one of your stories you like and write a story about the same main character, but at a different point in their lives.
Does this affect the original story?
Are you able to keep the character continuity working? (ie does the character change between the 2 stories to fit the story or does the story change to fit the character?)
If continuity is not working what event happened between the 2 stories your readers are missing out on, and should you instead be writing about that event?
Story Time Shift
Take one of your stories and shift the time. if the story takes place today move it into the future, if the story takes place in the future put it in the far past.
How does this affect your story?
Does it make it better or worse?
Can you see a different story taking place in the new time?
Story From a Series
Write a story like it came from the series Outer Limits (old) or Twilight Zone.
How does yours work?
Do you think the producers, back when the series was made, would use it?
Is there another episode like yours in the series?
Old Dragon
Write a story about a man that befriends an old dragon.
How do they become friends?
Why does the dragon let him in?
What are the consequences?
