Write a story within a story. Make sure the story inside matters somehow to the story on the outside.

Write a story where the main character has a role model and would do anything for that role model.
When the story is almost complete
Hidden Twist
Have the role model betray the main character.
How does this affect the main character?
Would the evil role model win, or would the main character fight the role model?
Changing Your Past
Write a story about your life as if one thing had changed in your past. It can be anything good or bad, you can also write the story then decide what changed to get you to that new point.
How would changing one thing really affect someone’s life?
Would you do the change knowing that everything else good after that change would be gone?
