Harsh World

Create a world that is harsher than ours can be.

Take today and write on your own story, if you don’t have a story use the archive to create one.

write a description of a child’s nightmarish night in there room listening to there parents fighting in the other room.

what kinds of things does the child do to escape?

what kinds of things does the child see?

what kinds of feelings does the child feel?

Experiment with writing a story in a genre you don’t normally write in. (sf, fantasy, real world, historical, steam punk, …)

Create a character that has at least 2 personalities living in the same body.

How would you twist your writing to reflect this?

Write a story with an included prophecy. The prophecy ultaimtly suggest the main charater will win for the good.

When things are almost complete open the hidden twist.

Hidden Twist

Rewrite the prophecy so that the main character will intranet it as they win, when it means the evil will win.

Brainstorm important events in your life that if changed, how would they affect your life today?

Write about a person that wants to do something that is frowned upon by others that they look up to.

What happens when they do it?

What kinds of conflicts come of it?

Create a world like ours with a different temp.

Pick a date in history and make/change an important event and write how said event would change after that.
